Polyphenols

Polyphenols are beneficial antioxidant micronutrients that come from plants. There are hundreds of unique polyphenols that can be broken up into four main groups.

  • Flavonoids
  • Phenolic Acids
  • Stilbenes
  • Lignans

Many of the natural plant-derived products we carry are among the 100 best sources of polyphenols including: olives, EVOO, wine, nuts, chocolate, coffee and tea. Some of our products can give you a double bonus when they are married to other foods high in polyphenols like black currant, quince, apricots, lemons, blood oranges, pomegranates, peaches, pears, apples, ginger, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, rosemary, sage, chocolate, grapefruit and red onions.
