Umeboshi are those red, pucker-up delicious pickled fruits used in many Japanese dishes. These fruits, called ume in Japanese, are often referred to as plums but are technically more closely related to apricots. So if you take a hint of apricot and combine it with the floral notes of golden-ripe Japanese plums, you get the luscious, sweet-tart characteristics of our aged white balsamic from Modena Italy. It pairs well with the Persian Lime Olive Oil, Lemon Olive Oil, Garlic Olive Oil, Toasted Sesame Oil, and Basil Olive Oil.
