Uses: Substitute for regular pepper where you want rich, smoky flavor. Makes a beautiful peppercorn gravy to go over potatoes and roasted meat. Try in hearty soups and stews or use to ground a fresh, bright salad. Delicious sprinkled on sliced tomatoes with sea salt.
Ingredients: Applewood smoked peppercorns
Smoked Peppercorn Beef Burgers
1½ lb ground beef
2 tsp s.a.l.t. sisters Pink Himalayan Mineral Salt, divided
2 tsp s.a.l.t. sisters Applewood Smoked Cracked Peppercorns, divided
4 slices cheddar cheese
4 soft hamburger buns
Butter lettuce
4 tomato slices
Mayonnaise, or any other condiment of your choice
Sprinkle the ground beef evenly with 1 tsp each, Pink Himalayan Mineral Salt and Applewood Smoked Cracked Peppercorns. Gently form the meat into 4 balls, then lightly press into patties. Season the patties on both sides with remaining salt and pepper. Heat grill or grill pan to high. Grill undisturbed until marked on the bottom, about 3-5 minutes. turn and grill other side about 3-5 minutes. Assemble burgers with toppings.
